So I was working on my living room set at Polyvore.com. It took me quite a while to put together an ensemble that I like:

But I would prefer something more comfy, such as those big old leather chairs, but with brighter color and mordern look...Do comfy chairs have to be ugly?
PS: The green chair looks quite comfy, but for the second set I wanted a red one which I couldn't find...Both chairs are from target.com, while the smale side table is from Ikea.com.
Just submit an order of $230 for art supplies needed in my art classes: 2D design and advanced drawing. It would be more than that if I didn't have the items left from my beginning drawing class. These are just basic staff such as drawing papers, pencils, charcoals, erasers, crayons, pastels...Considering all the brushes, paints, canvases....needed for painting - if I want to pursue further in this field, the price tag is scary...no wonder there are so many starving artists out there.

frieday. new york knicks @ houston rockets. yao ming got 35 points, 17 rebounds and 7 blocks. dominant and efficient. following the big man's wonderful game while chopping red sausage, green brocolli and yellow bell pepers, i feel that life is so full of energy and color. it's been 4 years since i started watch yao play in the nba. really hope that he'll have a great season this year. a guy as diligent, hard working and warm-hearted as he is, yao deserves a huge success.
today is nicktoon channel's spongebob squarepants m arathon day. several hours after being entertained by the lovely bikini bottom creatures, i finally succeed in forcing myself to blog in english. don't ask me why...maybe when my brain gets as relaxed as sponge and as bright and simple as the yellow color, i forget i'm writing in a second language all in a sudden.
i've been avoiding writing in english for ages. coming to the states as an international student, i can't say that i never used english. after all, tremendous amount of time and energy was spent writing hundreds of pages of (meaningless) academic papers. but academic writing is more technical, than real. i can't feel the language...and i confess my academic writing isn't good.
one day i realized that i can no longer write in Chinese - my native language either. long distance phone calls and quick emails allow instant communication, but deprived people the benefits of writing traditional mails.
so i can't comfortably use my native language, and my english writing is technical and emotionless. it is just like when you find out that your tongue is a bit shorter than normal. fortunately it's not too difficult to fix in this case...if only i could force myself to write more often... last year i started blogging in chinese, slowly picking up my native tongue...
this is the context of my blogging story. now that i successfully made myself write a bit more in english, more dull words and grammar mistakes shall be expected to come out of this blog...
hey boys and girls here comes my first post at vox! i've been so mad at yahoo 360 that i really need to find another place to blog, and vox gets features that i really want! i hope vox will have a chinese version soon so that my family in china could know where to click...

Tell me about it! When I first studied design the costs for illustration and drawing materials were ridiculous, but the... read more
